Appearing on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in 1955, Mr. Diddley was asked to play Tennessee Ernie Ford's "Sixteen Tons" Without telling Mr. Sullivan, he played "Bo Diddley" instead. Afterward, in an off-camera confrontation, Mr. Sullivan told him that he would never work in television again. Mr. Diddley did not play again on a network show for 10 years.

I attended this show. Diddley was never less than the baddest cat on stage. In contrast, his band was a nightmare, and Wood was so drunk he could barely stand, much less keep his guitar in tune.

Merry Christmas to the man w/ the square guitar. Saw the tour w/ ronnie and it was better than any Stones show that I have sen since 89. Bo, we've had many drinks in Chigao. God bless wyou and yours. PDZ
